Unfortunately there were a lot of ink stains and generally impossible to read Regency handwriting but you get the general idea. It appears she owned a lot of mirrors! If you think about it, $4,000 was a good deal of money back then and from the accounts she appeared to own a lot of high quality furnishings which puts the Haswells in a good living standard for the time period. Of course the agony she must have gone through-- at this point her husband had been missing four years-- and finally coming to terms with his death. That must have been heartwrenching for her. I find it interesting that they substituted f for s in the early 1800s, that must have gotten confufing.
The most interesting thing about this document is that apparently Haswell did not own any land (therefore would not be able to vote at the time) and there are several theories as to why. One is that he was waiting until he had enough money to buy something spectacular, another is that he was planning to return to England and didn't want to get too settled, and another is that he owned land but lost it. Currently I and Andrew Buckley are looking into the latter possibility in old land records around the area.
Special thanks to Andrew Buckley for sending me a copy.
